Photoshop demystified!

Pixel Time's unique approach to Photoshop focuses on concepts that apply to any photo-editing software. So whether you usually use an old or newer versions of Photoshop, or Photoshop Elements, or any editing program that uses layer and selections--you'll have fun with these projects and take away techniques you can use at home.

Every week in Photoshop Concepts you'll learn more about how image editing software works, and try out techniques on a fun project you can complete in class.

Your instructor, Skyler Lovelace directs the digital media program at Butler Community College and has introduced students to Photoshop concepts for more than 15 years.

Note: To benefit from Photoshop Concepts, you should have *some* computer experience, ie, already know how to use the Internet, how to use a mouse, and how to send eMail. Previous experience with photo editing software (any kind) is a plus. This workshop is for ages 16 – adult.

Technical Info: At Pixel Time, we'll be using Photoshop CS2. The instructor is familiar with Photoshop releases, version 7 throught CS5, as well as Photoshop Elements. The concepts emphasized in each lesson are applicable to a wide variety of photo editing software, including Picasa, Aviary, GIMP, etc.
